The Empire Parliamentary Delegation during their visit to Uganda in the 1930s

The Empire Parliamentary Delegate visited the British Colonies in the 1930s as part of their quest to determine the direction of the higher education of the natives in Africa. Addressing the House of Commons on 9th July 1936, Captain Sir Peter MacDonald noted

"I was very impressed with its importance on a visit which I paid to Uganda with a Parliamentary delegation a couple of years ago. I was shown over all these institutions, and with some of them I was very much impressed indeed."
