His Grace The Most Rev. Henry Luke Orombi made his inagural visit as The Archbishop of of the Church of Uganda (CoU), to Makerere University on 24th August 2011.

His Grace led a delegation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Makerere University and the Church of Uganda (CoU) to bring services to the least constituency in Uganda. Through the Africa Institute for Strategic Animal Resource Services and Development (AFRISA), School of Veterinary Medicine, Makerere will nurture transformative skills, technology innovations and community services, through Academic-Community-Public-Private Partnership.

Also present at the MoU signing were the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. V. Baryamureeba, Mrs. Elizabeth Gabona, Commissioner for Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Sports, Rev. Canon Dr. Ebong Johnson, Chaplain St. Francis Chapel, Mr. J.S. Ngobi, Director Human Resources, Prof. J. Kabasa, Dean, School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Michael Kansiime, Programmes Development Manager, AFRISA, Ms. C. Kanabahita, Director, Gender Mainstreaming, among other Members of Clergy and Management.
